Why I Built Conduital

I'm Greg Maxfield — a knowledge worker, writer, and systems thinker based in Utah. I've spent years trying to make productivity tools work the way my brain actually works. I tried paper planners, Todoist, Trello, Obsidian, and more Notion templates than I can count. Every one of them started strong and faded within two weeks — not because I lacked discipline, but because the tools demanded more maintenance than they gave back.

Conduital grew out of that frustration. I wanted a system built on Notion's flexibility, but with the intelligence to maintain itself — one that tracks momentum instead of just task completion, surfaces what matters instead of burying it in databases, and adapts when priorities shift (which they always do).

What Makes This Different

Most productivity templates are containers. You put things in; you take things out. The organizational work is entirely on you. Conduital is different because it does cognitive work for you:

  • Momentum tracking — not just "done or not done," but a living score that shows whether each project is moving, stalling, or needs attention.
  • AI-powered reviews — a weekly review co-pilot that summarizes your portfolio, flags risks, and suggests where to focus next.
  • Automatic discovery — Conduital watches your file system and surfaces new projects, areas, and resources as they appear. No manual entry required.
  • GTD meets PARA — the system bridges David Allen's Getting Things Done methodology with Tiago Forte's PARA framework, giving you both the action clarity of GTD and the organizational depth of a second brain.

Who It's For

Conduital is built for knowledge workers, freelancers, and solopreneurs who manage a mix of creative projects, ongoing responsibilities, and long-term goals. If you've ever felt like you're spending more time organizing your system than doing actual work, this is for you.

It's not for people who want the simplest possible to-do list — there are great tools for that. It's for people whose work is complex enough that they need a real system, but who are tired of being the full-time maintenance crew for that system.

The Company

Conduital is a product of Silver Sage, LLC. It's an independent, bootstrapped project — no venture funding, no growth-at-all-costs pressure. That means every design decision serves the people who use it, not an investor deck.

If you have questions, feedback, or just want to talk productivity systems, I'd genuinely love to hear from you.
